Research, Teaching, & Scholarship Committee

The Research, Teaching and Scholarship Committee (RTS) advocates for appropriate institutional policies, support structures, and facilities for research, teaching, and scholarship across the University. It collaborates with the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of Sponsored Programs on initiatives related to research and scholarship, addressing topics such as indirect costs, shared research facilities, conflicts of interest, and other pertinent issues. The committee also develops and reviews related policies. In addition, it works with teaching-focused programs and campus groups to support educational excellence and improve teaching methodologies. In coordination with the Academic Affairs Committee, the Research, Teaching, and Scholarship Committee participates in the development and review of policies that impact teaching excellence.
