Faculty Life Committee
The Faculty Life committee was constituted in 2006 to focus attention on issues of faculty welfare, including recruitment and retention. It is charged with identifying and prioritizing both short-range and long-range issues as well as proposing strategies for improving faculty welfare across Grounds.
The committee developed and implemented a University-wide Faculty Survey in 2012. That survey was succeeded by the COACHE Survey. The Office of the Provost took over the role, but the committee often is called upon to address issues raised by the COACHE Survey. It also gets involved in other faculty welfare issues from other University sources. Committee Members often research these topics in subcommittees. This requires interaction with the University Administration.
