Representation and Governance Committee
The Representation and Governance (R&G) Committee serves to enhance and protect the Faculty Senate’s representative legitimacy by working to ensure that the University of Virginia faculty have the opportunity for consequential input in discussions concerning academic functions. Its responsibilities include developing and maintaining principals and practices guiding the relationship between the Senate, the University Administration, and the Board of Visitors, as well as advocating for qualified Senatorial representation on high-level University committees. Additionally, the committee promotes the transparent information flow between Senators and their constituents.
